Verso Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon East Orchard Mesa

A little greener that what I usually like, but still an enjoyable mature Cab.

Still think its one of the best Colorado Cabs. Smooth.

Very good wine. Drinking beautifully at this age. Very mature for a Colorado Cab. Very deep ruby color. Quick legs. A little minerality and wet leaves on the nose followed by currant, rasin, muddled berries, and butter on the palate. An entirely enjoyable bottle of wine.

Opened it and the wine had turned.

Best Cabernet I've had in Colorado. Funky smell upon opening, but the taste was fantastic right off the bat. Smooth currant, black cherries on the tongue. Balanced and smooth across the palate. After an hour of airtime, the dark but bright berries came out on the nose. The finish is a tad short, but damn this is tasty and by far the best cab I've had from a Colo. winery.

Fruit forward and a little thin for a Cab. In fact, I wouldn't really have guessed Cab in a blind tasting. Overall, this was good.
