Dracks till firandet av att huslånet betalts av efter en flaska Pol Roger Winston Churchill. Mycket bra och frukten höll ännu och gav en balans åt tanninerna som dragit sig tillbaka.

Nez trs expressif, voire envotant.

My original impression was correct. It has not developed at all. Still high acid but tannins have resolved somewhat.

Dark red color, some maturity. Nice warm ripe scent of red berries, blood orange, charcuterie and grape. Grumpy, harsh and dry mature character. Elements of stable and fat. Elegant and quite long.

Spettacolare vino! Opened 2 bottles of 2007 to pair with linguine in clams dish during Christmas Eve dinner of 7 fishes. Wasn't sure what red wine would pair with this dish but Barbaresco was spot on. Would like to buy more but current vintage approaches $100.

Purchased this in La Morra almost exactly three years ago. The bottle age since then has done this wine an amazing amount of good. One hour in the decanter and the wine was singing. Beautiful balance with soft tannins and lovely freshness. Floral and cherry nose, with beguiling earthy tones. Light on its feet. Drinking beautifully. Drink over the next three years.

High acid and tannic. Not sure if more time will help or it’s just as good as it will get. Expected more.

An outstanding Barbaresco. Full of cherries with a notably balanced alcohol presence. Ready to enjoy now after two-hour slow ox.

Double decanted the bottle, gave it about 45 minutes to get to cellar temperature after that. Starts to open up slowly at that point. This wine is a delicious tease: It flirts with you as it aerates, and I love it. Red cherry and mulberry and subtle oak hide behind the acidity and tannins. Very fun, balanced mouthfeel. Very enjoyable. And then, wow! After about 90 minutes or maybe 2 hours, this wine just gets super smooth and even better …

Nice complex nose with some evolution. Elegant and accessible with food. Good fruit and acidity to balance the fine but still unresolved tannin. Could have done with more time in the bottle. Should evolve really well another 10-15 years.

Billiets Barbaresco Manifesto (Casa Billiet) : Pretty bouquet, rose petals, faint caramel, rich cherry with a feminine tone. Some astringency on the palate that subsided over the evening. Beautiful silkiness to the palate, high toned with spice on the finish. Delicious! Consensus #1 out of 6.

-- decanted approximately 45 minutes before initial taste -- -- tasted non-blind over a few days -- NOSE: tons of VA; fumey; baked/roasted red fruits; unpleasant; touch of something leathery and petrichor. Bad. BODY: garnet color of medium-light to medium depth with bricking throughout; medium to medium-full bodied; Diam 5 cork. TASTE: very tannic; adequate acidity; extremely muted/dead on the palate, leading me to wonder if this has TBA going on. This got recorked and put back in the fridge …

Last of a case we bought in 2016 at the winery, and really wish we had bought a second case! Really in a great place now - lovey currant-and-cranberry flavor.

Decanted for a couple hours. Light to medium bodied with a very unique nose and palate. Tons of black tea, syrupy raspberry, mint, tobacco, and a metallic note. Still hard/gripping tannins on the finish but lacking in structure. Probably needs 2-3 more years but likely won't improve much from here. Would not have guessed Nebbiolo.

This bottle had a strange aroma, which may be from the Slovakian Oak or might have been the famed "tar" of Nebbiolo. Decanting helped. However, the taste was smooth with an easy finish. Good fruit. Balanced acidity. No bitterness. Beautiful pale red. Paired very well with a brunch--sliced ham, mashed potatoes, eggs, etc. Very nice food wine.

{diam cork} Surprising in a number of ways. First, this was purchased off the list at Herbsaint in New Orleans. I mention it because it was a PnP that worked surprisingly well, not because it was 2009 Barbaresco (i.e. early drinker), and not because it was Rivetti, but because it was kind of the opposite of (what I've come to expect from) those things. This is beautiful, very pure, clean and balanced. No traces of oak or (over) ripe fruit; …

Yummy nose. Rich, round, warm and inviting floral aromas of violets and rose. Soft and a touch thin on the palate in an easy drinking sort of way for nebbiolo, but with some tannin present. The nose carries the wine.

Tasted at the winery. My wife and I couldn't agree on this wine, which is unusual for us. I thought it was very mediocre, she thought it would be quite good with time. Single vineyard (Bordini). Quite acidic and tannic. Definitely not enjoyable now but may do well with time.

We knew this was way too young to open, but the mood struck us and it became an impulse buy. As expected, it wasn't ready. The fruit was mostly muted, and heat from the alcohol was still in the forefront. It was also still rather tannic, but they were very dense and very fine. Although young and shut down, it stood up fantastically to the huge chunks of beef we pulled off the grill. In all I believe it has …
