Aaah now we are talking. Three years from my previous tn, this is settling in beautifully. An hour decant and in Riedel O tumblers, it no longer showed the ‘chemical’ note I couldn’t put my finger on. Instead it had the texture of an aged Pinot, all smooth with a lingering aftertaste, with a herbaceous note in mid palate that showed this ain’t no Pinot. Delicious and singular, at least to me - we decided we would have no idea …

Very Good (+). Recent TNs from others capture it well, but I didn't get Ben's "feral and wild". The nose was really beautiful here with wisps of sweet herbs and red fruits. Really pretty. The body had a hard time following through, coming across a bit lean and with some tannins showing, but still nice and good with food. I've got another bottle and want to stash it away for 5+ years to see how this develops. Does the underlying …

The nose is aromatic and balanced with tones of Plums, black Cherries, black raspberries, herbs, anise, tobacco leaf, violets, and some Moroccan spices. There is a savory quality to the tones there is attractive, though it lacks some depth. The Medium bodied feel shows off the balance of the nose with crisp, medium+ acidity and chewy, high tannins that are a bit overpowering. If the structure pulls back with age, I can see this really blossoming. This has a real …

Usually a blend of all three of her plots. Smells a bit feral and wild. Herby. High toned but then quite stiff on the palate.

Redder fruit this year... Strawberry, red cherry, some blackberry and tiny wild blueberry, iris, tobacco, mint, camphor, touches of toasted nuts and spice... Lively and fresh, lots of crunchy berry notes through the finish, firm fine tannins, strong acid line, long on fresh tart fruit and minerality. Gorgeous stuff, the way pure fruit notes linger is absolutely entrancing. Tight and tense, however, I'm pretty sure this will be much better in a few years, and I would love to see …

Mmmm. Deep ruby colour, tobacco and black cherry plus something my nose can’t decipher....kinda chemical but nice....on the nose. Might be alcohol. Lots of acidity and tannin as you would expect but round dry fruit in the centre/middle...perhaps sandalwood. More finesse and elegance there than the 2016 and 2017, feeling big but light, if that isn’t stupid. Lovely long finish and lingering aftertaste which mirrors the nose. I’m told it is a classic Baga vintage with loads of aging potential, …
