Marcel Deiss Riesling Saint-Hippolyte

Lite stumt, bensinmacken håller på att över hela ruljangsen men ändå ett dugligt skaldjursvin.

The wine was very disjointed on both the nose and pallet. I believe this peaked a few years ago. This will properly not be any better in the future, and it is not really pleasant for the moment. Not really sure what to do with my last bottle. It will likely lay around in the cellar for a while.

Stellar gold color. Nose was an airy mix of honey and citrus. Dry, broad, and yeasty at first on the palate, it developed nicely through the evening, exhibiting mineral, apricot, and apple peel notes while remaining bone-dry. Moderate finish. Could develop further, but great pairing already with both pork wonton and fresh grilled tuna.
