Colour: light cherry, fading to brick Nose: cherry, cocoa, beetroot. White pepper. Cloves, cinnamon, star anise. Slightly stemmy? Palate: cherry, raspberry. Cocoa? White pepper, cloves, anise. Balsamic vinegar. Fine grained, smooth tannins, drying. Medium to light bodied, 12,9% alcohol. Elegant, sappy, vital. Lovely.

Nose of cherry, anise, clove, and pepper. Palate is light-bodied but has strong acid and very strong flavour: red cherry, blueberry, and black spices, with acidic orange on the finish.

This is a great representation of quality pinot coming out of Gippsland at a very affordable price point. The wine is a light red in color with good clarity. The nose is attractive with floral cherry, sweet baking spices and French oak. The palate shows typical varietal expression and considerate winemaking with delicate and stemmy cherry given spice and depth by chary vanillin oak. The tannins are drying and accentuate the spicy fruit driven length to finish. Drinking well now …
