This wine is off the charts. Deep ruby and garnet around the edges. Strawberry jam, and guava on the nose. Very floral. Perfectly tannic, with a good amount of grip. Not excessively astringent. Notes of guava, raspberry, and cherry. Great, earthy (leather, cedar) finish. Perfectly aged, deep garnet.

Fantastic!!! Colour: Dark, deep.. Rust-red edge Nose: Base with animal notes and sweet blackberries... Middle with dark chocolate... Top with touch of black olives... Taste: Delicious!... A Mix of Big Name CDP and Cab Blends (Tilia, Mpls) : Very dark red color. PNP, drank 1 glass over an hour. 100% Grenache, first vintage for this wine and became Reserve des Deux Freres the subsequent years. This was showing nicely. Tasted blind at the "Rhone Wine Tasting" at Bistro Provence, Bethesda Deep and dark color, some lightening at the rim; my guess: vintage 2002 Wine shows tar, tannin and some age; to me it spelled Norther Rhone; on palate a bit austere but it's a serious wine. after 1-2 hours it becomes more raisiny. Very fresh with tremendous acidity and more tannin than is evident at first. Showed more sediment than expected, and a little muddy brett on the nose. Fruit stayed a little 'loose' and it took around two hours for the fruit to move from a 'cherry tunes' to a more pleasant profile. Nothing on a bottle tried over a year ago. NR
