Big & aromatic. Smoky lime flesh & zest, lavender, anise, tart pineapple & mango, kiwi, grapefruit oil, lanolin & crushed rocks. Drinks dry, herbal, flowery & stony, with firm orchard & citrus fruit. Beautiful, impressive stuff with an insane QPR.

(92+ Points) Smoky lime oil & flesh, quinine, tart nectarine, lavender, white peach, white flowers, crushed stone, cantaloupe & lemon candy. Drinks off-dry with fairly electric acidity. Adds lemon oil, lanolin, lime zest & unsweetened whipped cream on the palate. Still drinking very young. Deelish ... as usual.

[Various notes on bottles opened from late Oct through this weekend.] Dammit, I opened a few of the '21 Richter Kabs at various points and didn't keep specific notes - this was one of them, and while I don't remember flavour specifics or comparative preferences, I was REALLY impressed by the entire range with all the wines showing remarkable clarity and finesse, and a sense of weight/richness that seems as close to a classic Kabinett profile as we'll get these …
