So....a highly unconventional Sancerre. On nose: elderflowers and crabapples(?) On palate: above flavour notes, amplified and singing, with a ghost of cinnamon, meyer lemon, lees ( a bit of haze in the ring- gold colour) and after a 1 hour decant a note of fresh parsnip....clean, mouthwatering acidity and stony minerality on the finish complete the portrait of this wine, as tasty and food friendly as it is blind tasters will be baffled....may buy again....can age well.

Been meaning to try this for awhile. Not disappointed. So much going on here. Aromas of pear cider, passion fruit, apricot, lime, white grapefruit, elderflower, intense sweaty and mineral notes... a little litchi too. Thick and viscous on the palate, but there's deep cut and beautiful chalkiness, layers of fresh citrus, tropical and stone fruits, beguiling floral, herbal and earthy nuances, gorgeous acid line runs through the wild ruckus of flavor and texture. Long on tart and ripe fruit, this …

Quite sweet and oxidized flavor. Strong honey nose.

Natural wine. Spritzy. Not typical Sancerre with round fruit and ripe acidity. For people who don't like the aggressive acid and dryness of Sauvignon Blanc. I don't see this aging - drink up and give it lots of air.

I love Sancerre and this Riffault's reputation is so interesting; I've been meaning to check their wines out for some time. Not disappointed, but not in love. I will try them again when I can. This 2014 is rather advanced, but still performed better on day two. Golden color. Aromas of bruised apples and pears, dates and figs, some ripe orange and sweet juicy tomato notes, hints of roasted almond and caraway seed make for intriguing nuttiness, bit of sea …

We were four and tasted simultaneously and the reaction were immediate. All stopped and became quiet looking at the wine and then on each other. It was an unexpected sensation and so delicious. Refreshing, easy to drink. Some salty mineral on the tip of the tongue, fruity.

Very floral but with a good acidity and some fresh lime and apples on the palate.
