Rich, sweet, notes of citrus, orange confit, minerals here, good balance and plenty of freshness. Drinking a point, I think.

2007 vintage

Gorgeous and impressive Pinot Gris. A slight bitter at the end and good acids give this wine the energy. Powerful, round, fruit and sweet component, mouth filling and length.

2010 vintage

Appearance: Golden honey color Nose: Oak, cedar, sultana raisins, vanilla, honey, baked apples, toasted almonds. Taste: full bodied with generous fruit for the age of the bottle, low/moderate acidity, residual sugar throughout. Beautiful, complex, interesting pino gris!

2007 vintage

PnP enjoyed over 90 minutes, all of them exciting, fresh, and mature. Lovely varietal typicity and no shortage of soil/place notes. A complete wine that a guest called exceptional. I didn't argue that last point. Oh no, I did not. Should continue at this level for another 3-5 years, though I'd say it's not getting any better than it is today. highly recommended

A great bottle. Very savory wine that works with food. Everyone loved the wine.

Settled into round peachy full wine with some structure but has peaked. Feels off dry but is not.

Was drinking beautifully. A bit of maturity about it but still the freshness. Will probably easily hold for a few more years, but feel free to pop with reckless abandon. A great wine in a somewhat maligned vintage.

Dense and viscose with floral nose and honeysuckle fruit. Best with food or dessert.

2011 vintage

Nose was mostly white fruits, some light apricot and sugarcane. Medium heavy body, with solid but rather young fruit. A pretty high perception of sugar, but that was balanced by the strong acidity. Was showing ok, but I think this has more to give. This was a bit better after a while open and warmed up. I think I'll give my other bottle a couple more years.

2010 vintage

Clear light amber. Slightly oxidised in a good way, dried apricot, white flowers and some sweet ripe tropical fruit. Off dry apricot, peach and Christmas cake flavours and a very nice long rich but dry finish.

2007 vintage

Very fine showing today; cool, smoky, mineral, dry and with a restrained richesse, that performed perfectly well even with eel & eggs. Bravo, great wine. #Palægade#Henning&Flemming

2010 vintage

A cornucopia of aromas waft from the glass, a brilliant Pinot Gris that offers something truly unique and true to its terroir. Loads of life ahead but already mature its drinking beautifully. My only gripe is the 15 percent alcohol which makes drinking more than a glass hard going.

Le vin est bien mais il est sec, et un peu rêche lorsque servi seul en apéro. Je le garderais quelques années et le servirais avec une belle flammekueche.

MEdium to full body with nice apple and apricot nectar. Nice acidity and long finish. Really nice.

Still young and crisp; smooth honey, pears, minerals, smokiness, citrus, a stringent acidity, impeccable balance - bravo, Feller!

Wonderful wine, still young: brimming with energy and lots of interest lurking behind the surface. Lovely fruit (apricot, ripe citrus, red apple) together with spicy, nutty and floral notes, honeysuckle on the long finish. Paired wonderfully with a dish of duck leg and apple.

Very round and nicely balanced but a bit too sweet for me. Will do well with foie gras in the future.

2008 vintage

Yellow. Baked apple. Medium weight, off dry, pure apple fruit with balancing acidity and minerality. Little if any botrytis. A fine, relatively understated Pinot Gris. Young and fresh.

Fantastic with roasted duck breast.

Fabulous tension of sweetness and acid - rich and hugely long. Very fine drinking.

The Alsace Wine Day 2014 (Operaterrassen, Stockholm) : Nose with ripe yellow apple, hints of apricot, some mineral, and spice notes. The palate has some residual sugar (I estimate 2-3 on the Alsace scale 1-9) and powerful concentration, good spice notes, apple, some apricot and good acidity. 90 p

Ca. 15% Botrytis. Medium yellow. Lots of melon, quince and spices in the nose. Very opulent and expressive in the mouth, a lot brighter than expected. Very good.

Delicious - massive nose, huge amounts of sweetness. Drunk with BBQ'd prawns and sea bass but somewhat tricky to pair with food. 15% Alcohol a surprise

2007 vintage

Tight, reserved nose but big explosive flavor! Beautiful balance and nice weight on the palate. Very elegant.

2011 vintage

Very fine. Wool notes more pronounced as the wine warmed.

2008 vintage

Off the list at Flying Fish Cafe/WDW ($75), thankfully served at the proper temp. Light-med straw color, with fresh aromas of freshly cut white flowers, pear, orange peel and sliced apples. Medium-bodied, with more r/s than I was expecting, but saved by some really great lift the copious acids provide. I'd drink it again (especially with the tuna tartar topped with wasabi foam), but I believe I'd prefer it to have another year or so on it, to let things …

2010 vintage

Half bottle. Full yellow. Literally apples and oranges on the nose. Lush to the point of almost Vendange Tardive level richness. I get a fair amount of sweetness too, but this is offset by strong acidity and soil at the end which give it some liveliness and lift. Definitely a ripe cuvée.

Cheesy and biscuity initially opening up revealing a great array of aromas, apricots, smoke and nuts. Massive on palate with few res sugars well balanced by zesty acidity. Very long and concentrated with 15% abv this is a wine destined to age and improve further.

Nice crisp acidity on this wine. Dry wine, although comes across as slightly sweet due to the body being quite full and round. Great with sauerkraut and sausages.

2010 vintage

Pale green hued with a tight nose, maybe a little to cold to open out. Oily and lush with very spicy pear fruit and a salty mineral note on the finish. The fruit is much more savoury than others alongside it.

Nutty nose (as in walnuts, not crazy nutty...) - notes of soy sauce too. Sweet and sour palate, hoisin sauce. Delicious wine, would go really well with duck or pork belly.

Alsace Pinot Gris with Arne Ronold (Scandic KNA Oslo) : Delicate aroma. Peaches, sweet, wet wool. Medium body, smooth. Spicy finish, elegant style.

Nice sweet balance. Possible a little closed. There is a lot hidden in here - fruit and floral notes hiding - this will be great in ten years! Great great balance and structure: fruit/floral/spice/racy/refreshing all in perfect balance, with good depth. Really very good. 14.5% ABV?! - doesn't taste like it. Real elegance. Wine Education Service - Alsace - Domaine Weinbach (Imperial College) : Gold. Mushroom aromas, fruity and honeyed. Oily, fruity, mushroom notes, excellent acidity, a lovely wine, complex, rich, unctuous, very long.

WES Tour of Alsace - Domaine Weinbach : Lovely aromas, mineral, fruit, vegetable, very complex. Delicious, delightful fruit, minerality, good length.

2008 vintage

Domaine Weinbach (Cellar Door) : Soft, subtle, a little closed with pears and minerality on the nose. Fragrant palate, soft pear, great acidity, some botrytis roundness with a touch of spice. As this ages it will move towards truffles and meaty notes.

Savoury aromas of toasted nuts, honey, stone fruits; lovely off-dry palate. Great texture, voluptuous and seductive. Nicely balanced.

Distinctly sweet, say Spatlese level, supposedly 8-10 g/l I think I recall reading. Luxurious, lots of glycerine, mouth feel like whole milk. Hard to pin down the flavor behind the sweetness and minerals. Excellent wine, but difficult to match with food other than something spicy and/or Asian.

Tremendous concentration but a very subdued nose. You can certainly tell it is a pinot gris with a lot going on and great minerality but there is a certain savory / saline component and the subdued aspect of the nose that make we wonder if it's still knocked down from bottling / sulfur. We will see what tomorrow yields...

Drago Centro: One of the greats. Lovely flinty nose, touch austere honey/botrytis and floral; rich, beaut. mouth, but tons of acidity!!! What structure and elegance, and complexity. Beautiful wine and grt w/fois gras and berries.

Very full on. Deep gold colour. Rich nose. Huge buttery palate. 15% alcohol and you could feel it! A bit super-charged for me, but Mrs H loved it!
