Anthony Thevenet, Morgon, Cote du Py Cuvee Julia Vieilles Vignes

En mode "faisons de la place au cellier", j'avais un petit préjugé sur ce vin au départ. À l'ouverture très fermé et insipide mais après 1h30 de carafe de superbes notes de petits fruits bleues apparaissent. Même si sa couleur tire maintenant sur l'orangé, la présence de beaux tanins et d'une acidité présente laisse présager encore de belles années de gardes. Peut-être pas tout à fait à son peek mais excellent maintenant!

Tasted over a few days. Initially the nose was closed but the mouthfeel was exceptional : silky juice which coats the mouth with lasting smooth sensations. Zero bitterness yet good structure. Concentrated and centred small ripe berries mid palate. Over the next few days the nose opened to ripe small berries, crushed raspberries / blueberries. Good for morgon. Easy to drink gamay - but didn’t have enough complexity and got still some jalapeno taste from pyrazines. Do note that im extra sensitive to this taste.

Cherry, strawberry, earthy, cinnamon, cola. Very fresh

Un beau morgon sur le fruit, accessible des maintenant! La bouteilke s’est sifflé tres rapidement, mais était assez serieuse pour s’y interesse.

Beautiful, complex, and oh so drinkable. It's not a glu-glu wine but, man ! it's easy to drink. This should hold for 10+ years and I would love to see this at 6-7yrs of age.... (but I don't think I will, these are just delicious now).
