Rene Bouvier Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Combe aux Moines

Intense red. At first, the nose was definitely not Gevrey, marl and clay aromas started to come out after 3 hours of air. The red and dark pinot fruit flavours are quite concentrated, the finish is reasonnably long and fresh, this is a quality Gevrey 1er. Bouvier makes wines that are quite ready to drink early on, yet they have enough concentration to age well.
