I remember drinking this young and thinking it was a bit closed/tanic as compared to previous vintages but still phenomenal. Had this last bottle a coupe of months back, and really enjoyed it again. Remember thinking that perhaps I should've decanted it, because the flavors noted in my previous bottle were all there, just not as strong. A knockout QPR, and will be buying subsequent vintages. 91 pts.

Servi immédiatement après ouverture. Très foncé, arômes axées sur le bois, vanille, noix de coco grillé, mais également fruits cuits, confiture de cassis, bleuets. En bouche, le vin est assez doux, les tannins sont très enrobés. Fruits confits, confiture de fruits noirs, vanille. Finale très longue, traces de poivre. Très bon, plaira aux amateurs de gros rouges. 15.9% ! Accompagnement parfait pour plats mijotés ou braisés très goûteux.

I know that this is style is somehow popular, but the bottle was 85% full at the end of the night at a table of 6. Raspberry and plum with a heavy dose of oak, dill. Silky palate of blue and (extracted) black fruit. Very ripe fruit, but the very heavy-handed oak treatment made the wine at the very least unpleasant and for several people, simply undrinkable.

Over-ripe on the palate. Very dark, rich, intense.

Wow, I really enjoyed this juicy Aussie Shiraz. It had just the right balance o ripe blue and black fruit, plus a little fresh tobacco leaf. But I really like was the velvety soft mouthfeel. The tannins are just firm enough to give some structure. And for $15? Shut the front door!

Eucalyptus, mint, menthol, blueberry, chocolate, and licorice on both the nose and palate, this is a delightful wine! A little ripe cherry on the palate as well. Far exceeding expectations given its price, this is a steal & a fantastic QPR. Long finish. Tastes like a Barossa, would be shocked it if isn't. Held up perfectly for a few days, perhaps even improving a bit. Have another, but MUST. GET. MORE! Love it. 92 pts.
