Friday night round 2 in the neighbourhood. Tasted blind. Drank in Conterno Sensory. Appearance is clear, very pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of floral rose petal, licorice, ripe red cherries. Youthful. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium+ alcohol (14%), smooth medium tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet licorice, ripe red cherries, succulent red plums, strong stony minerality, hints of bitter earthiness. Mouth-filling long finish. Very good quality.
