The wine of the holiday! Day 10 in Campania/ Basilicata drinking local wines- mainly Fiano. This the equivalent of a premier cru from a single vineyard site. Definitely has premier cru quality. There’s a light oak treatment that lends a great structure to the purity of the fruit. Really fantastic white that would hold up well against many French whites at higher price points. This made me think more semillion than chardonnay due to the freshness, salinity and minerality. Some …
