Washington Hills Cabernet Sauvignon

First time trying Stony Hill reds. Very good cab and drinking nicely. I was surprised by how light of a cabernet. I expected a much bigger wine. That said, as it opened over the 90 minutes it put on weight and showed some development.

Quick note: lots of fresh red fruits, some minerality, juicy and concentrated, still have some time in the bottle. This is really good

Soft

Slightly shaded fruit, cover crop all year round. Spring mountain: most rainfall in all sub napa AVAs Texture and acidity wise Bordeaux-esque, but tannins more mellow and fruit sweeter than that.

Napa Valley - November 2022; 11/16/2022-11/19/2022 (Napa Valley) : Felt a little tightly wound still with a bit of a reticent nose. Leather, earth with blueberry and cherry on the palate. Tannins still fairly stiff but fine. Needs some years in the cellar. Could be a stunner down the road but at a high price point of $250.
