Citrus and apple notes but overall, a simple wine with limited fruit and short finish. Over priced.

Light gold, fast legs, light/medium body. Aromas of stone, light dust, minerals, maybe a bit of honeysuckle. Flavor hints of lemon/lime but stones and minerals predominate. Medium acidity, short finish. Overall impression: a solid, value-priced unoaked Chard. Suitable as a daily drinker for those who prefer Chablis-like Chard over butter and cream. Good summer party wine. At $7 price QPR is average. Lasted well over 3+ days. Drink now.

Crisp and pleasant, notes of lemon without the buttery texture of oak-aged chardonnay.

The wine looks light gold colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like orange and apple blossom. It tastes like grapefruit, stoniness and a bit of apple. The body is light/medium. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

A decent cheap unoaked Chardonnay. Much better than the price tag might suggest. Very pleasant.

Bold citrus notes, heavy alcohol feel, not well balanced. I prefer a crisp smooth white with a softer finish.

WS gave this an 89, and I agree.

Surprisingly good for this price. Nice buttery quality you want in a CA Chardonnay but very little oak and a nice acidity. A nice wine.

straw color, peach and citrus aromas, lighter flavors of peach with a touch of acid on the finish.

Seymour Wine Club Meeting 6/14/14 (Home of David Zanowiak) : Tasted blind: This had a very expressive nose of peach, tangerine and some citrus. Nice acidity to it and no oak presence, got some peach, grapefruit and tangerine on the palate as well. Thought for sure this was a Sauvignon Blanc but I have found the unoaked Chardonnay's can be mistaken for Sauvignon Blanc's. Was shocked when the bag came off of this. Never would have suspected Smoking Loon Steelbird. …

This is nice. Very light yellow-gold. Little viscosity. Nice pear, apple and citrus in the nose. Very refreshing in the mouth with citrus flavors and fine acidity. Hard not to like this one. 4-11-16-8: 89/100.
