The wine was sacrificed for a giant pot of Dulcie's stock and not even one drop was preserved for tasting. The stock sure smelled fabulous however.

This is really no wine for terroir-lovers, but I liked it though! The flavours are extremely oak-dominated, the wine is powerful and dark. In the beginning it was totally closed, but after 12 hours of decanting the wine became more complex and you could taste some aromas aside from oak. So you should store the wine a few more years and then drink it with great pleasure. 89 points, drink 2013-2023

Plum and blackberry on the nose. Chewy texture with cherry and plum, low tannin and medium length on finish. Good table wine and would hold up against heartier fare
