PnP. Plenty of sawdust with red fruit on the nose. Interesting layers of tart red fruit with lots of acidity and earth and minerals... it's hard to pick out specific. Sharp, peppery finish with leather, earth, and lots of oak. This was drank late without a lot of thought but I can see holding it longer or decanting it. 91+ points.

This Grenache is rather light, I would say pale ruby in the glass. The nose has medium intensity aromas of raspberry, red cherry, violets, pomegranate and dried spices. The palate is dry and lively with ripe red fruit, medium acidity, lithe tannins and a medium body. The floral and spice components are not as pronounced on the palate but I now get some charred wood and rooibos tea instead. The finish is medium in length and a touch tart, refreshing. …

Retail $75. 100% Grenache. Under screw cap. One does not see a ton of wines north of, say, thirty bucks, but it is much more common Down Under and I am just fine with that. As one would expect from a 100% Grenache, this is fairly light in the glass and translucent. No notes but quite good - very big wine in terms of flavor if not texture. Wine Enthusiast described this as "bone dry" but we didn't find that accurate.
