I don’t care if it’s not fashionable… highly enjoy this Chardonnay and the style it follows.

Nose: fig, caramel, apricot, honey, red date, white flower, coconut, vanilla cake Notes: 13.6% ABV. This is quite rare and probably will not be available everywhere, tasted at a pre-auction dinner. Very dark in color although the fill is great. This has quite a sweet nose still and doesn't feel tired at all. Young is definitely not the right word to describe this but it's quite nice and pleasant now. Drink: now+ Rating: 89

Rich creamy texture. Cooked pear with enough acidity to give it structure. Very pleasant.

PnP chilled. Clear, light straw. This drank better than expected and way above its price point. Clear, balanced, med body, classic Chard taste. Nothing off. $35

Really nice showing. User friendly for certain, but there is compelling integration and focus to the melon, honey and citrus notes.

Beautifully integrated. Acidity and fruit forward sweetness is balanced by toasted brioche and lasting minerality on finish..White peaches and pineapple on front end. Only getting better with age.

In a great place right now. Light color, honeyed nose. Big, muscular and buttery Chardonnay. Loverly notes of grilled melon, brioche, apple tart, white chocolate, vanilla, honey with some sweetness. Mouthfilling and very present. Nice length. A pleasure.

Bought from King Soopers as a close out wine. Beringer... its a fair winery in my opinion. I prefer Sbragia. Color. Golden yellow Nose. Caramel corn, Sunflower oil, white flowers, bran. Palate. Smooth. Very low acidity. Butter. Oak. And more oak. And lots of residual sugar. It's designed for the real house wives of Napa Valley.

Almond, butter, lightly toasted oak, honeysuckle and pineapple nose. Full bodied, rich and creamy. Tropical fruit notes of mango and pineapple followed by lemon curd with a touch of allspice. Definitely rich and somewhat buttery in style, but with a little honey lime acidity lift on the finish.

The wine looks yellow gold colored. The legs are medium. It smells like pineapple, melon, peach, almond, vanilla and oak. The body is medium. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

Grasses in the bouquet. On the palate aromatic yellow fruits, apple and pear as well, a bit fat and sweet. High concentration. Also good and fresh acidity. Definitely a very good wine when you like your wines concentrated and a bit sweet. Personally I prefer a bit more elegance; so “only” 89 as my personal score.

PnP chilled. Clear, light straw color. Oak nose which blew off with time. Drank oaky/buttery initially but with time and as it warmed up changed to one more my liking. Oak dissipated to a manageable level and good acidity appeared along with tart fruit. Delicious stuff and a great value. Nothing off. Good value at $35

Repeating notes from March 2022. "Like past vintages this wine has one of the more tropical expressions of a modern Napa Chard. The flavors include apricot, mango and other tropical fruits which are then quickly followed by smoothing oak and the long lingering toasted oak. There is a viscous and rich mouthfeel to this wine which reminds me of an Aubert Chard." This is a lovely wine

13,5% alcohol. Intense, deep golden yellow color with a pale rim. Very evolved, sweet-toned nose with rich aromas of beeswax, some wizened peach, light toasty oak tones, a little bit of candied ginger, hints of chopped walnuts and roasted almonds and a touch of maple syrup. Contrasting the sweet nose, the wine feels very dry, tertiary and moderately oxidative on the palate with a medium body and rather bitter flavors of dry old wood, wizened apples, some beeswax, light bitter …

Much better than expected. Dark golden color. Nose of honey and spice, very little fruit. On the palate was almost like a fine red wine with good complexity. A hit of petro but not really noticeable. Very long finish. My cellar is cooler than most, I think.

This was a forgotten bottle, one I took out some years ago to drink and left it on my secondary rack. Well, years later I decided that, what the heck, let's open it. It was a deep golden color, obviously oxidized but the aroma was very intriguing. When my wife and I tasted it we noticed a distinctly peach flavor coming through, but there were no off flavors or odors to be found. I had little hope for this, but …

Amber and unctuous, a first nose of ripe pineapple and smoke, later followed by passion fruit and pear. This is a dense mouthfeel chardonnay, deliciously oaky, almost chewable. A long lingering finish of oak and butterscotch, this '96 still has the goods. The last one of these I had was two to three years ago. While not as vibrant as it was then, I think "unctuous" describes it perfectly. After the last one, I wanted to lay it down for …

Hot Basement Tasting @ Howard's (Westport) : A bit muted on the nose. Lots of zingy acidity. Very Sauvignon Blanc-ish. Similar to the 1995 version, meaning... not as much oak as I was expecting. Nice.
