Deep red-black thru to the rim. the nose has a lifted spicy ripe fruit: baked blackberry, wild raspberry and black cherry coulis. alongside sit dried spices, parched earth, hints of liquorice. A sort of summer pudding. The palate whilst full is soft and inviting; generous but in check. By the glass at the BA lounge. Quite a bit of colour with a purple tinge. New world syrah and albeit not too overdone next to the Mullineux 2012 we felt this was more of the classic new world, hot climate syrah.
