pale lemon colour. moderately expressive aromas and flavours of creamed lemon, green apple skin, white pear, subtle fresh herbs and wet stones. dry, creamy mouthfeel somewhat softens the racy acidity that lends the mostly citric layers a subtly saline bend. a vein of fresh orchard fruit broadens the mid-palate and carries to the moderately long finish. drinks well now and for perhaps a handful of years – if you can resist. 11.5% AbV; from a site at 1,000 feet elevation …

Dark straw color with green tints Medium plus aromas of lemon cream/ green herbs/ bell pepper and fresh jalapeño Medium bodied with palate of ripe lemon with significant saline/mineral notes Medium plus acidity with medium alcohol and no notable phenolics Moderate finish led by acid and minerality Well balanced wine that hits all the right notes More fruit driven and less mineral than most Loire versions but just as good Drink now or hold 3-5 yrs

Savory with notes of creamy lemon, brine, white pepper, mint, lavender and sweet oak. Fairly full bodied for a SB. Lingering finish.

Tasted over 2 hrs -translucent pale yellow-green -subtle sweet sauvignon fruit without grassiness -med+ acidity leaves a strong tang on the finish, light/med- weight yet with some viscosity that gives a softness to the texture lemon-lime residue on finish -light, texturally and structurally interesting and distinctly different from sauvignon blancs grown elsewhere (eg Loire, Bordeaux) - at least ones I've tasted

Very low alcohol, which is very much apricated. Pink grapefruit on the nose but not on the palate. Gooseberries, some pear and a slight touch of watermelon rind on the finish. Very much in the A-R style for summer pounding when the weather warms up, very much enjoyed.

Lovely stuff in a typical A-R style: pure, lithe, and acidic. 11.5%

Arnot-Roberts Fall 2022 open house (Healdsburg) : this Sauv. Blanc is is more citric than herbaceous both in the nose and mouth. more body than the alcohol level would suggest, but with strong acidic tension and verve. this one is pretty much ready to drink. 11.5% AbV; 14 barrels produced; 75% aged in neutral oak

11.5% abv. Light straw, somewhat muted aromatics. Pear, lemon confit on the palate. Steely, somewhat austere, but with good depth, energy and length. Distinctive, but enjoyable. Grippy. Will see how it pairs with fresh King salmon tonight.
