Vitkin Cabernet Franc

Good concentration. Dark color. Great balance. Fruit and earth. Old world style

Nice concentrated with good ripe fruit. Unfortunately it was consumed with some friends and the bottle was gone too quickly to really watch it evolve and open up. Still very nice wine.

WOW! The score and description may not due this justice. Just delicious. Beautiful ruby color. Sexy aromatic floral dark fruit bouquet. Medium to full bodied, concentrated, complex, smooth, beautifully balanced. Plush velvety mouthfeel with perfume, dark fruits, cassis. Long finish with tannins and some acidity. Drinking beautifully now, it has the tannins and fruit to go a few years longer. Fantastic QPR. 8 year old wine that's still available at the store and great quality. Don't walk, run and grab …

Wine was better than I expected. I would buy again

Cabernet Franc 92% and Petite Verdot 8% Medium to full body, dark garnet color. Intense ripe fruits, tobacco and floral aroma. Dominant dried plum and bitter cherry palate, spicy finish. Powerful and heavy now, slightly loses balanced but complex enough, nice acidity, still tannic. Food friendly, best match is roast beef. Open about two hours ahead or decant. Serve 16 – 20º. Still young, drink in year.

This is the first Vitikin I was not a fan of. The wine was quite harsh and while it did open up a bit over time it didn't get much more mellow. The fruit was muted as well.

Vitkin, Cabernet Franc, 2016: Dark garnet towards purple in color, with on the nose, raspberries and black cherries, as well as notes of violets, cedar and tobacco. Medium-bodied, with on the palate raspberries, tart cherries, with hints of green bell pepper, leafy tobacco, eucalyptus, with medium-plus acidity as well as pipe tobacco, with firm tannins that coat the mouth on the moderately long finish. 13.5% Abv. Drink now-2025. 90-91
