Really nice Pinot. A bit of barnyard funk. Nice aromatics. Tense palate but softens as it transitions to the finish. Chalky. Just a bit thin. Lovely and elegant, on the lighter crunchy side.

The nose on this wine is good. Definitely su bois. The taste is pure Pinot. Just a little sharp tannis on the mid palate and finding. Good package.

Sonoma Winter WINEland 2015 (Sonoma) : Barrel Sample. Light plus concentration in the glass. Nose of anise, the Indian spice aisle. Strange notes, perhaps slightly oxidized? Just came from the barrel - barrel sample. Orange? It smells like a riesling. (possible botrytis?) $65
