Clean cork, not decanted. Deep garnet color with a fading rim in the glass. Delicate, mature aromas of dried red cherries, forest floor, sandlewood and leather. The palate brings tart red cherry, black cherry, fig and bay leaf. Acidity is medium-high and tannins are medium and fully integrated. Still shows good balance with a medium-long finish. Fully mature and a little rustic in character, but drinking at (or slightly past) peak. Recommend finishing any bottles in the near future.

Pretty similar to the 2012 notes. Solid stuff, though not all that memorable.

Lacking the freshness and vivacity of the previous bottle, but the stuffing, structure, and tannins are still there.

Nice, even with the many different grapes, it was balanced.

Actually seemed tighter than the last bottle I had a couple years ago... Good structure, enjoyable, but felt restricted. Will hold off on the others for a bit.

It's been a couple years since I have tasted this wine. It is maturing very well. Big berry flavors pop, with a very nice finish. Glad I have a couple left.

Some wines stand out amongst almost all others and richly merit loquacious panegyrics; this is one of those. Deep crimson to purple in color. The bouquet creates a sensory overload! Spring flowers, violets, summer fruit blossoms, Petit Verdot fragrance, ink, graphite, blackcurrant, dark sweet berry fruit, and wondrous Tuscan terroir come forward in tsunami-like waves. The medium to full-bodied palate offers a tour-de-force in hedonistic complexity! Juiciness, ink, red and dark fruits, sweet berries, and graphite, followed by mind-bending Tuscan …

Even though it is a 2007, its character is still young. Thick, dense black and red fruits, some leather and herbs, ripe tannins which are wonderfully integrated. When opened, it needs time and keeps developing. Long finish, complexity, freshness. A mighty wine. Decant.

It has been over a year since I last tasted the 12 UVE. It has blossomed with a great cherry flavor and a very smooth finish. I am glad I have 3 bottles left.

A very nice wine. Still seems quite young with a tight nose and taste. Decanted for two hours but did not develop until another two hours after decanting. Once fully opened the nose had fantastic notes of leather, dill, vanilla, cedar and black cherries. The initial flavor followed the nose but the mid-palate was the one flaw this wine had. It was not completely hollow but it was lacking. The finish was fantastic with everything the nose had plus a …

This wine is a bit young, but it is still enjoyable now with a decant. Nose is lovely, with a nice mix of dark berries, caramel and earth. Decanted about an hour, and the nose was at its best around the 2-hour mark, with the earth and mushroom aspects really shining. On the palate, this is quite tannic and acidic, making food a must and hence the thinking that a few years should make this much better. Weird pairing alert: …

First an explination....this wine is made from 12..... count them, twelve types of grape! Most unusual to say the least....yes it is mostly Brunello and Cabernet but it includes varieing amounts of ten additional grapes from mostly Italy but also some additional Bordeaux mix varietals. So five years out is it a symphony or cacaphony? I am going to have to say cacaphony although it is not awlful and maybe there is hope for its future. The nose is mind …

Well, this sample was not so exciting. I was expecting a good modern tuscany one but thw cork was hard to take it out, a little bit dry. When i take out, the aromas was a little bit oxidative, but on the mouth you can fell that is good one. I hope that another bottle that i have will be better.

Nice crimson red. Crab-apple with a hint of vanilla on the nose. Very light bodied, well-suited to summer. Adequate tannins with a high mouth structure and excellent acids. A light touch of red fruit. Not as brooding as you would expect of a Chateauneuf du Pape imitation. There are several levels of flavor and it reminds me a bit of Ducru Beaucallou, albeit not nearly as high quality.

Bought this on a visit to the winery. This is very unusual interesting stuff. This winemaker is very passionate about his wines. He plays classical music to his vines 24-7
