Medium intensity on the nose with herbs, saline notes, peach, tangerine, minerality, elderflower. With some air the oak became very (too) prominent, showing too much vanilla and butter. Medium+ acidity, long finish Apparently this has seen 25% new oak, but or 1) the wine is still too young 2) the wine can’t handle that amount of new oak. For me it’s the latter

Nose is mostly brioche and, also dark toast. Little fruit. Refreshingly bitter.

Got different things from this wine since I last tasted it but all good!Light apricot skin on the eye. The nose is very attractive with lots going on including dried herbs, green grass and pineapple. The palate has a lovely viscous texture providing a velvety coating round the mouth with flavours of tropical citrus fruits with a dollop of double cream. The finish is long with a "Lilt" like fruit finish. Great balance all round and an excellent wine. Top …

Straw. Citrus nose but with lots of aromatic herbs including oregano, rosemary and sage which gives it a dimension I haven't seen in Alvarinho. The palate has lovely aromatic herbal flavours, the fruit has (weirdly) some strawberry and raspberry notes, and all wrapped in a creamy blanket but with a lovely acidity to clean your mouth. Certainly the best of a line up of, by Portuguese standards, expensive Alvarinho.
