Small glass, brief note. Much like the same wine tasted earlier today, just slightly brighter but also a touch of tartness on finish. Very good power for its level.

Coche-Dury Meursault 2023. Det svinger ikke helt. Coche pleier å være eufori på duft, men dette kunne vært hvilken som helst decent produsent. Kommer seg med luft, men blir aldri stor. Bedre i munn med god konsentrasjon og pen struktur. Lang finish som strammer seg bra opp. Sikkert lurt å lagre litt. Bra med stuffing og bør komme litt mer på plass etter hvert. 92p+

Excellent bottle. Classic Coche matchstick on the nose albeit a touch less pronounced. Fresh and flinty. Hint of eggshell reduction. Bright green fruit like pineapple and lemon custard. Long finish. Yes there are better wines out there for the same price but I love the “je ne sais quoi” with this humble village wine masquerading at near grand cru level.

Popped and poured. Opens out really nicely over a couple of hours - starts out with generous fruit accented by smoky and flinty notes, and with air more savoury and lightly buttery/creamy flavours emerge. It shows the ripeness of the vintage in the best way possible; there's a lovely richness to the fruit, a sense of weight and power on the palate, and a really silky texture.

Delicious straight out of the gate - gorgeous nose some limited reduction, popcorn, butter, gasoline minerality. palate followed with rich creamy texture with a lemon meringue and white flower notes appearing. Great balance on the acidity and fruit and in such a great spot right now. Couldnt be happier. Outstanding bottle.

Burgundy Wimps 2025 (La Trompette) : Matchstick-dominant for the first five minutes or so, and then the nose fanned out beautifully, although remaining flinty and penetrating. After 20-30 minutes there was a sweetness to the nose too, like a dusting of icing sugar, which my neighbour thought a sign that this bottle was (or was about to be) on the downslope. Notes are consistent with my prior 2 bottles. This is probably the best vintage to date from Raphael at the helm of this historic address.

The perfect way to kick off our wedding anniversary celebrations. This bottle exploded with an intense nose of fresh-cut clover, delicate white hyacinth, and that unmistakable Coche “spent fireworks” note—though a touch less smoky than the bottle we opened six months ago. On the palate? A riot of underripe pineapple, crisp green apple, bright lemon, and even a streak of Ramonet-like spearmint. Truly a mini-Montrachet masquerading as a humble village Meursault. What an unforgettable treat. 95/100.

PNP at Roja. Full yellow color, contrasted with a pale straw PYCM alongside it. Rocking from the first pour, intense lemon rind aromas that are smothered in a smoky, flinty fog like if you just struck a match. Medium-pale yellow gold with green tint. Lemon, lemon oil, citrus peel, white flowers, mild butter, jasmine, hazelnut, honeycomb and minerality. Flinty, stoney, moderately reductive nose, indicatively Coche. Somewhat tropical but also mineral. Loads of power on the palate but acid seems a bit more zingy and high toned than I'd prefer. A touch bracing even, which I never find with these wines, even as young as this. Very nice but not especially complex and maybe a bit out of sync at the moment. Don't know much about 2015 vintage.

Nice and straightforward. It was an interesting experience to experience two bottles of 2015 Meursault on two consecutive nights. One was a Comtes Lafon 1er cru Porusots, and the other one was this bottle. At Le Soufflot in Meursault. This bottle was even better than the one tasted 5 months ago. There’s almost no explaining just how extraordinary Coche-Dury’s 2015 Meursault is. Powerful yet incredibly balanced and elegant. My first time tasting Coche-Dury, and it was unforgettable. Initially closed with flint and reduction, but opened beautifully as it warmed up. Such a great wine, long finish and that iconic Coche toastiness. Just a village Meursault, yet it easily hits above many premier cru (as tried against "les caillerets") and even grand cru. A legendary domaine and wine at a fair price at the restaurant — what a treat!

This was excellent. A little bit of reduction and noticeable oak, lemon, some white peach, cream, white flowers, quite high acidity (lovely!), a long finish, nicely balanced with no bitter notes. Doing quite well straight from the bottle after half an hour.

Opened at K-Cellar in HK. Slow-oxed before enjoying. Another chance to revisit what is probably my favourite Coche village for a whole variety of reasons, and it never disappoints. Slight hint of reduction with gunflint and matchstick, giving way to a gorgeous rich buttery nose that is backed by incredibly precise acidity. Opened at Caprice in HK. Glass generously shared by friends. Always a stunner, and my favourite village Coche from the Raphael era. Creamy, buttery, toasty, slightly reductive and flinty, but with great tension and acidity tying everything together. Absolutely fantastic and cannot wait to enjoy again. 2012 Coche Dury Meursault was awesome, only a village wine yet drinks like some grand crus. Buttery popcorn and gunflint nose. Incredibly balanced and long finish of underripe pineapple, crystaline mineral, and a squeeze of lemon. Everything is in place. This needed a good hour in the decanter even with 13 years of age. Perfect pairing for our lobster. 95-96/100

The one in Hong Kong (POB/Marmo) : Orchard fruits on full display with apricots, peaches, nashi pear and meyer lemons. Palate has good stuffing with power and concentration in spades - could have done with a bit more energy. On revisit, this grew in glass and got so satisfying.

The 2015 Meursault from Coche-Dury is astonishing and dramatic. It was delicious, showing a little petrol-like reduction and loads of sappy orchard fruits. It was still quite primary, had a touch of spice and a long finish with chalky dry extract.

Honeysuckle, ripe tropical fruit and smoke on the bouquet. Palate showing lovely maturity and a touch of youthfulness even with starfruit, pears and some tea leaves. This was holding up very well with a kiss of acid on the harmonious finish.

Pearl of Burgundy gala dinner : Another huge, old-school burgundy white that was so pleasurable and intense. Very Meursault with exuberant buttery, hazelnut notes but not in anyway overdone. A real honour to have tasted an old Coche.

Opened at Otto e Mezzo. Slow-oxed for 2 hours before enjoying over lunch. Coche is Coche. Gorgeous nose of popcorn and caramel, balanced by a flintiness and acidity that put everything in place. Wonderfully round and whole on the palate despite the sharpness. No hint of reduction at all - just buttery wonder that kept on coming in a finish that never seemed to end. Two bottles of U.S. import labels, presumably Narvaux. Both aromatically precise, so Coche, light flint, intense white fruit, sharp minerality. Crazy line up and this was the wotn for me. Nose has gunflints, white flowers, very mineral and typical coche nose. Palate has good acidity and balanced with the warm y taste and the chalky finish. It was in harmony. First coche above regional level and I fully understand the hype.

Really good. Structural elements were still supportive but more relaxed than the ’13. It had some hazelnut cream, white peach and lemon notes. It was full, rich and powerful, with great drive and authority for a village wine. There’s the usual Coche dry extract on the long finish.
