Great as always, more peppery than the last time I recall.

Drinking really beautifully, particularly on day 2. Strong, savoury and robust, palate is lush, round red and dark fruit, well integrated. Will continue to improve but drinking super well already. Wonderfully made wine, as is everything from LVP.

Consumed as part of a blind Syrah tasting, and this thrown into the flight to compare/ confuse against a 2012 Equinoxe Syrah. Very well made, quite elegant, but simpler than its Equinoxe cousin. Quite floral on the nose, with hints of method. Dark fruit core with white pepper. Finished in 4th place to its Equinoxe sibling, a 2003 Cote Rotie La Landonne, and a 2009 Penfolds RWT. But nothing to be ashamed of, on any other night, this would have …

This is a consistent wine. Powerful nose with lots of black fruit. Some black pepper then earthy tones and leather. Lengthy finish. Drinking well now but i have a few and will save one to see how it is in another 2-3 years.

Deep ruby in the glass with aromas of leather, black cherries, strawberry jam on the nose. Good acidity and light tannins with a medium finish. Pairs well with BBQ beef or rack of lamb.

Rich ruby red with very high optical density and medium specular reflectivity. Aromas mixed dark and red fruits with a wet gravel infused floral lift. Some forest floor and savory notes under the fruit, with a strong sea-side iodine aroma with spicy black pepper lingering underneath. Really mouthwatering nose, lots of appeal. The palate is medium to full bodied with medium plus acidity and some tannic bite on the back end. The texture ends up being a porous-grained but even …

The surprise Syrah for me among a Syrah focused blind tasting of six different producers. Pronounced nose with gorgeous black fruit and black pepper. Great mouthfeel and long finish. Again, massive rich fruit of blackberry and blueberry, great spice and pepper, even a bit of mint. Truly a delight to share. Paired well with Mongolian lamb chops.

Wine is a deep inky, purple, dense colour. Aromas of dark, smoky bramble fruit and cherries. Leathery, smoky flavours. Long lingering finish with some astringency and medium firm tannins. Pairs best with food. We enjoyed this bottle with BBQ filet mignon and roasted vegetables. Also would be a great with lamb, slow cooked red meats. Drinking well now. Strong tannins will allow this wine to age for another 1-2 years.

Rich ruby red with high optical density and medium reflectivity. Aromas of lifted florals (violets and forest tree flowers), mixed red and purple fruits, and some twists of savory, roasted vegetable garden soil. Some hints of iodine and pepper swirl beneath. On the palate, it is very full bodied, with medium acidity, and a dense and concentrated feel with very well integrated tannins that support a clean and dry character, but have melted away to let the flavours shine. A …

Nice and fresh. Very good Syrah that is drinking very well right now. Spices, berries and a touch of leather. Not an incredible wine, but great with a meal...fun to drink.

Deep red/purple with medium plus optical density. Nose of spice, plum, graphite, and pepper. Medium plus body and almost bracing acidity support flavours of plum, raspberry, and sour cherry with some green pepper notes that come in at mid-palate, after which some dried tobacco leaves and black pepper come in toward the lingering smokey and spicy finish. The tannins are firm. Very good balance here, and will be better after a couple more years.

Decanted for 3 hours, then sipped over the next two. Surprisingly still tight, nose of dried tobacco and glycerin. By the time I was finishing my last glass the alcohol on the nose had worn off, thankfully. Tastes of tart red cherry, black currant and cocoa. Hoping for more out of this wine in a few years.

Beautiful dark ruby toward purple with lightly stained, medium tears. Showing a nose that is both powerful and complex, it delivers plums, raspberries, cedar box, tobacco, earth, and hints of asphalt aromaticity. Medium plus body and acid support firm structured tannins throughout; the palate begins with blackberry, raspberry and sour cherry that evolves to pick up earth and tobacco leaf notes at mid-palate, and finally evolves into a long smokey finish with a touch of heat (in a pleasant way) …

From a 375ml. Needed time to breath. Peppery aromas after about 45 minutes. Way too young! Wait 3-4 years.
