Le Strette Barbera d'Alba Superiore Persole

The wine doesn't present much in its youth. High levels of tannins leaving one with the classic north Italian mouthfeel. High enough alcohol that it is actually notable. A bit of sour cherry, but a distinct lack of primary flavours. Unsurprisingly, a wine that should have been stayed in the cellar, I could imagine the wine would present itself far better in 5-10 years.
