Domaine Jean Féry & fils Nuits St. Georges Belle Croix

Cannot quite figure out how to judge this wine. Have not tasted this vintage when buying a few bottles (tasted 07). Promising nose with (straw)berries, slightly herbaceous, some undergrowth/mushroom and a significant touch of new oak. Fresh attack on the palate, good acidity, berry/cherry, slightly drying, does not have much depth or - to lesser extent - length. Do not see this wine improving a lot and feel the €25 I paid for it is not entirely worth it.
