Rich, oily, plain, creamy,...all in excess. This isn't the style of manzanilla it used to be. Perhaps an old bottle, bad storage, change of way... Food, paletilla iberica, was too much for this faded sherry.

Enticingly sweet nose of almond paste, but the palate is the polar opposite. Sour and herbaceous and just plain bizarre. This was my first Manzanilla, so if they're all like this then mark me down as NOT a fan.

Nice manzanilla, fresh with a good balance of salinity and herbaceousness, but a little 2 dimensional

Lot #3112 Color: Pale straw. Nose: Very fresh and fragrant, with a little bit of green apple fruit but more focused on flor, sea spray, and dried grass notes. There's also a cottony gauze smell and a whiff of weedy flowers. Mouthfeel: Medium bodied and lively. Palate: Savory and fresh, nutty, with a hint of bitterness and a good flor-dominated finish. Quite clean and bright, with good energy. Refreshing and a fantastic food wine. As the Brits would say, very …

This is a killer manzanilla, superior to la Gitana in my opinion, with a bit more depth and probably more verve as well.

not a great bottle, or perhaps my Sherry taste has changed a bit - this showed little delicacy or finesse, and just wasn't a harmonious drink. Pleasant enough, but that's not good enough considering the high quality Manzanilla available in NYC that's not really any more expensive.

Delicious. Ultra-pale colour. Salty nose with a lemony touch. Very long bitter aftertaste. Complex Manzanilla here. A perfect mate for a boiled frifles. Great again.Sceptic? Please this must be served very very chilled, cold, almost frozen. Joking. Deliciosa. Bromeo.

not as brisk and light as some other Manzanillas and I think the wines used here are a little older. The body is a bit more full, the flavors more savoury and deep, although the wine still shows plenty of energy and verve. Soy, almonds, hints of toffee, salt, with some pleasant rubbery notes on the finish. Lovely wine, and a great value.

Not as fresh or as vibrant as the La Gitana Manzanilla tasted beside it. This is darker, less briny, more nutty and woolly. Better the third day.

Blind Tasting - Manzanilla Sherry with Eric Asimov and Peter Liem : Peter found the wine to be exotic, reminding him of soy and roast pork, like Chinese food. As with the La Bota wine, Peter noted and appreciated the character imparted by the old wines in this blend. Eric found this to be the most vinous of the sherries, and liked its nuanced and low key brininess. I sampled this wine the next day, by the way, and it …

Used to be the kind of Manzanilla I adore but.....this bottle was not so refreshing or dry; too much watery on palate. Hoping this is not a representative one. I knew very well Aurora so.... Solía ser una de las Manzanillas que adoro pero...esta botella no fue tan refrescante o seca; demasiada aguada en el paladar. Confío que esta no sea representativa. Conocía muy bien a Aurora así que....

I am not sure if this is just not my style or if the wine was poor but I did not enjoy this wine. Light brownish/yellow color in the glass. Nose of bruised apple, nuts, and some seawater. On the palate, the wine almost comes across as being a bit oxidized. The nutty flavor on the palate and finish is quite strong but otherwise the finish is awkward.

Fantastic manzanilla. As one previous taster noted, pronounced fresh briny, saline aromas come from the glass along with a whiff of yeast. Full flavored mid-palate that is briny and nutty in perfect balance. Deep yellow in color, but very fresh tasting. Would definitely buy this again.

Dark yellow colour; loads of "flor" in the nose; bitter taste. Really enjoable. Color amarillo profundo; aromas salinos a levadura en nariz; sabroso sabor amargo. Realmente deliciosa.

Farve: Lys gul. Aroma: Gær, træ. Smag: Fyldig, blød. Eftersmag: Valnødder, salt, gær, syre, træ, bitter, ikke kraftig nok

Extremely fresh, briny aroma. Crisp and extremely dry, briny on the palate with tangy nuttiness, and a hint of a lemony-citrus zing, very long finish. Really nice manzanilla.
