The finish emphasises quite sweet vanillin note, which feels slightly confectionary. The balance of the wine before the end is excellent, with bright acids, slightly overdone oak handling, and a good depth of flavour. Great buying at the sale price.

Very good, commercial chardonnay with lots of toasty oak, some nutmeg and cinnamon spice, a sweet inner core of fruit, and very good balance.

Very nice commercial wine that features a quite toasted note, with an almost confectionary melon aspect that is very much in the tropical spectrum of fruit expression. Well-priced.

It’s good - nice crisp Hawkes Bay acids, and clear fruit of reasonable intensity if not depth. The oak elevate is quite toasted, and a little too removed from the fruit. It is yummy and direct.

Light, but quite broad in terms of elevage. While it has a distinct peaches and cream, personality, It appears to be going for a toasted oak/sulfate approach to add complexity. The slight wood tannin on the back palate adds a slight astringency.The balance of the wine possibly suggests a slightly less worked approach, but the wine is tasty, and has complexity.
