부르고뉴 출신 생산자가 론 지방 그르나슈로 만든 꽤나 독특한 내추럴 와인이다. 와인에 어느 정도 관심이 있고 내추럴 스타일에도 거부감이 없는 이라면 한 번 시도해볼 만하지만, 경험이 적다면 이건 조금 난이도가 있을 수 있다. 내추럴 와인 애호가들 사이에서도 첫 향에서 풍기는 특유의 "파마약 같은" 구린내 얘기가 종종 나온다. Wine Advocate가 언급한 "독특하고 도전적인 아로마"처럼 처음엔 "어, 이게 뭐지?" 싶은데 가라앉고 나면 감식초를 닮은 새콤한 향이 올라오면서 꽤 재미있는 향 변화를 보여준다. 입에서는 살짝 딸기 같은 상큼함이 있어 "오, 의외로 과일미가 살아있네?" …

Domaine de Chassorney의 코사르가 남부론 Vaison-la-Romaine, Vaucluse의 20년 된 수령의 그르나슈를 가져와 양조한 와인. 2주간의 홀 클러스터 발효. 13.5% abv. 흔히 말하는 '네추럴스러운' 뉘앙스를 싫어하는 사람들에겐 호불호가 갈릴 수 있을 듯. 하지만 개인적으로 신선하고 무척이나 매력적인 경험이었다. 이렇게 빚은 그르나슈를 며셔본 적이 있던가. 블라인드로 마시면 카보닉한 표현 때문에 보졸레로 착각할 수도 있겠다. 밝고 순수한 체리 속에 숲 바닥, 젖은 돌의 뉘앙스, 그리고 우아함을 놓치지 않는 구조감. 아울러 남부 태양의 과실미 또한 매력적.

A non-interventionist Grenache made with purchased fruit from Corbières. The label did not say anything about the vintage (just lot number "L.VS"), but I was told this was 2019 vintage, so let's go with that. 14,5% alcohol. Pale, fully translucent and slightly hazy pinkish-raspberry red color. Sweet, fragrant and almost perfumed nose with juicy raspberries, some pomegranate, light lifted floral notes of brett, little bit of ethery VA, a hint of ripe nectarine and a funky touch of wet dog. …
