Clüsserath-Eifel Riesling Trocken "Devon-Schiefer"

That's one of the base wines of this producer, only the lieter-wine is clearly lower. And it's a good one with a bit of fruit, racy acidity and fairly good length. Overall, a good base riesling, not more and not less. 10 EUR are an okay price for this.

Not 'the' base wine of this winemaker but still pretty much an entry level wine nonetheless in this winemake's offering, costing about 10 EUR. And it is truly impressive, how elegant and convincing this wine is. There's not much complexity or intensity there, it's rather light-footed, but clean, well-proportioned and additionally carrying an elegant aftertaste that makes it mighty fun, and providing an aristocratic touch.
