Found this hiding in the back of my cellar. Figured it was now or never. Won the battle with the cork… barely. Very dark ruby red. Full bodied. Very little detail on the nose. Maybe some leather. Initial tasting had me concerned. Very pruny making me think it may be corked. Time helped it settle down. All the flavor is on the back palate. Medium tannins. Black Cherry, Tabacco. Decanted. Check back later.

Wow is this bad. California appellation, no idea where they could have sourced these grapes or what they did to them in the process. Can't believe a winery with the bona fides of CSJ would release this. No wonder Publix is doing a bogo on this.

Young Med. Body cab, better after opened awhile, bright red fruit notes, not much tannin or finish but as a Publix BOGO for 6.50/btl. You really can’t get too picky. I will try to buy a few more for pizza night.

Light and subdued flavors. It’s wine. Neither here nor there. It’s wine. It’s drinkable. It’s alcoholic. I wouldn’t set it aside for a special meal.

Drank this bottle over several days. Once again, it is a great wine for the price at less than $9. The wine had a nice color with a taste of plum and other fruits. The finish was nice and smooth. Would definitely buy again.

I had no expectations of this bottle but it surprised me as I opened it in January of 2018, well after the recommended "drink by"date. I did allow the bottle to breathe for 2 hours before even tasting. Very fruity and leathery nose, good balance of acid and tannin with notes of dark fruit and chocolate. Long pleasant finish. Was very good with grilled steaks. Wish I had another couple of bottles!

Blackberry, plum, vanilla and milk chocolate. Just a hint of spice on the nose, this is an easy drinker and pleasantly sweet. Not much depth or savory notes, but good ballance between fruit and oak.

The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. Tasty wine, had several glasses. Held its own with steak.

Had this wine while in USA. It is ok although nothing really special.

Plum and vanilla jump out on the nose. Medium to full-bodied. Tannic yet smooth and creamy, very oaky. Drinking with braised venison and it is excellent.

This wine got markedly better at day 2. Initially there was funkiness upon opening. Once it really opened the funkiness disappeared and got significantly better. Not sure I would buy again.

What a difference from my first bottle - much tastier. Good fruit, dark cherry. Went well with charcoal grilled burgers.

Tobacco and alcohol create a slightly astringent nose, mouth feels is light to medium bodied, sharp with high acidity not a great finish for a Cabernet

Not a big fan of this one. Limited complexity with a little bit too much fruity notes. I can think of quite a few better wine at the same price point.
