Heribert Bayer Rotgipfler Sails White

This golden colored, 6 year old Rotgipfler, shows a somewhat restrained nose of pineapple, mango, melon and floral components, backed by a hint of smokiness and a honey note. The palate is luscious but delicate with tropical fruit flavors and a buttery and smoky component from barrel ageing. Beautifully composed with good acidity and minerality, this wine is drinking fabulously right now, but I would finish remaining bottles within a year.
