Jean-Paul & Benoit Droin Chablis 1er Cru Vaucoupin

This is like sipping on a bag of chalk - lots of earthy terroir really to the fore with this wine. At first I thought the wine was off but after a few minutes this really firms up and there is a beautiful green tinge to this wine - all minerals, chalk and essence of crushed rock. Beautiful - the fruit really takes a back seat here.
