I’m getting blackberry, prune, brandied cherry, powdery mint, and something meaty and umami. The wine is aging gracefully, with dark rum and toffee bar notes coming out, as well as a velvety mouthfeel with notes of plum skin and plum sauce on the finish, complemented by a dark-toned acidity that puts me in mind of aronia berries.
