Suomenlinnan Panimo Hoppe IPA

Full bodied, robust, smooth flavors of bread and malt with some grapefruit bitterness that stands out. Overall balanced and good. Had a bottle at Iguana with the burrito.

Clear, reddish copper brown color and a big, frothy and rather short-lived white head. The nose shows really classic British IPA aromas of sweet, malty base laden with caramelized sugar, honey, oven-fresh sweet bread, cookie dough and some woody notes with underlying hints of citrus fruits and grass. Intense, rather malt-forward palate offers really powerful, exploseve flavors of caramel, exotic fruits, hoppy citrus and grass notes and hints of sweet red berries.
