Colares and Carcavelos tasting : Nose of anise, caramel, peppermint. Good accidity, fresh, some resemblance to herbal Chartereuse on the nose and palate. Would match very well to a Christmas pudding.

A private dinner (@ Home) : Like a Verdelho Madeira to which honey has been added. Amber; caramel, honey and flowers, candied fruit; light and juicy, nice hint of sweetness, rich and rounded with tangy acidity; good length. A wine of finesse and style.

Beautiful amber; remarkably honeyed, spices and fudge, good depth; softer acidity than a Verdelho but similar weight; very good length, toffee, honey, alpine herbs. Will last forever.
