Hendry Red Wine Hendry Vineyard

Well balanced, as always. The oak is a little forward right now and I think it could use a few more year to integrate better.

We held this bottle for three years. The blend didn't deliver as expected. It was a bit thin but did deliver a bit of spice, without the tannins I would expect from the Petit Verdot and Cab varietals that make up the najprity if the blend.

This wine is so interesting, as petite verdot and malbec dominate the blend (all 5 bordeaux grapes here). What I can say is this is fairly green tasting, and the oak stands out as well. Probably needs more time in the bottle. Save this another 5 years and see what you think. It was really good, but not great at this stage.

Nose of strawberry/ cherry Good tannins, mid acid, lingers on the tongue well Flavored of cherry and a bit of current

Hendry Tasting (North Loop Wines) : Nose: Very complex aromas of peppers, sage, and other assorted herbs. Palate: Good acids with red fruits. Nice but not that complex.
