Black cherry, raspberry, sous bois; simple, smooth, dense but lacking in depth and complexity; balanced and also still quite fruitful for its age, though with an only moderate length finish

En bouche les tannins sont fondus et la minéralité est légère - on est surs des arômes de cerise séchée, d’épices (poivre mais pas du moulin, plutôt dans un plat mijoté) et une pointe de poivron.

Decanted for 3 hours, medium dark ruby, a bit ruddy. Complex nose throws out notes of red fruits, freshly tilled soil, dried herbs (sage??), sous bois, iron-laden minerals, deciduous undertones and a touch of clay. Additional aromas of anise, cola and sandalwood emerge as this airs in glass. Moderate body. On the palate, cherry fruits pierced by an impression of iron and earthy minerals just dominates throughout.
