PnP, incredible nose: black cherry, orange peel, white pepper and another dried herb/spice I can't place. nice acidity and tannins, very well balanced. nice finish. I'll let this open in the decanter for an hour and come back to it. Great wine.

Notes on day 2. Nose still has plenyy of fruit after 11 years, with black cherry, vanilla and a bit of mint. The palate is also pretty juicy for a claret with a bit of age. I get black cherry, blueberry, a hint of woodsmoke and some cedar. The tannins are smooth and, coupled with the still-present fruit, leads me to think that this will be good for another decade.

Excellent pairing with an espresso rubbed steak. Smoky black-cherry, great balance and good mouth feel. This was a good choice to celebrate a special day.

Slightly cloudy, very dark ruby. Blueberry, cassis, vanilla, and spice nose. Medium to full bodied, cranberries, tangy blackberries, supple texture, white pepper, sweet tannins, cigar box, and a medium to long hazelnut-laced finish. Very well made and hasn't even begun to show its age.
