Chateau de Rolland, Barsac

Subtle, fresh, nose of canned peaches, snowball flower and sweet pipe tobacco. Pleasant and fresh on the palate. Honey, apple pie and clover. Not cloying. High abv but not boozy. Easy drinker.

Drinking very well right now. Showing a bunch of honeycomb. Tastes delicious with honey and sweet apple. Viscosity is at medium level. Acidity is still kicking on the finish. Drink now or over the next dive years.

A PLCB remnant that I pulled off the shelf at a local store this week, I brought this to a holiday party and sampled over 2 hrs. Medium caramel to orange in color, on pop and pour this started thin with short finish, but gained more depth and complexity with air over the next 2 hr. Deep gold, lovely thick texture, rich apricot sweetness, simple but long

Nose is bursting with citrus. Taste profile is that of honey-covered grapefruit with hint of orange. Texture is a medium-bodied thickness (but definitely not syrupey) that is not too sweet. Look forward drinking more of this one.
