Decanted before serving, a little sediment. Still bright at the rim, just a hint of orange at the edge. Enticing smell. Dried red fruits in a ceder box on an old leather armchair. Haunting actually, I almost can’t stop. Tannins resolved on the tongue, still a good bit of freshness, polished nicely (not overdone but very pleasing), that drying brick dust just at the end. A little sweet, a little round, a little fresh, and nice old flavours coming through.

Clear deep red, just going orange at the rim. There's a whiff of damp cellar on the nose that's appealing and follows through on the palate, mixing in with ripe black fruits. There’s a freshness and persistence to the finish, and it’s all very polished with really fine tannins. Quite enjoyable bottle of claret. Might even have 3 or 4 years left in it.

OK/Good – clear mid/deep ruby appearance; fruity nose; off-dry; mid acidity; mid tannins; medium body; mid length finish; soft yet mouth drying tannins; mellow; quite fruity – red fruits; very pleasant quaffing claret. Still has some life left but need to drink the rest of the case of the next year or so. With Rump Steak.
