Medium golden with pronounced, beautiful and complex aromas of white flowers, Apricot, pineapple, wet straw, fresh grass, bread, white pepper and other dried spices, some smoke character in the background, Developed. On the palate the wine is dry with medium acidity, alcohol and body and bitter a little astringent flavors of grapefruit, lime peel, ripe apples, pineapples, dried spices. Major differences between aromas and flavors. The intensity and finish is medium. The wine is unbalanced straight from the bottle and …

Vermentino was surely made for sunny summer afternoons. Crisp and fresh with a spicy cut this went perfectly with grilled chicken and a salad.

I haven't posted a note on this wine in nine months, and the additional time has served it well. Light-bodied on the palate with ample acidity and a lemony/citrus streak. Focused nose. Very enjoyable.

My first time trying the new vintage, and I’m not loving this. A little too citric and it kind of falls off in the mid-palate. Feels a little tied down as well, so maybe I just need to let my other bottles rest for a bit before checking out another one. I know this will sound strange, but at this point I like the ‘21 Normale better.

Gambero Rosso Tasting (Doltone House, Sydney) : A more savoury and concentrated version of the El Grigia. A little meaty with joins the apricot. Rich, savoury, textured grip, apricot fruit, a little bitterness on the finish. Hmm
