Hmm ... Disappointing; maybe flawed? Absolutely nothing on the nose. The color is good -- ruby with light red at the edged -- but on the palate a dud. A little candied fruit, a little too much alcohol -- and that's it. Thin and unimpressive. The enthusiastic notes on other years make me think this one is the exception. Not obviously corked or oxidized, but I suspect something has gone wrong with this bottle.
