Definitely on the downward slope. Drink up if you have this. Muted fruit, and high alcohol. It came together a bit after 30 min but the alcohol definitely overpowered everything else. My last bottle.

pnp. still bright and fresh with dark cherries, currants, plums and an earthy component. Tannins still present on the back end. paired well with steak and grilled veggies tonight.

Drinking nicely at 14 years of age. Opened and slow ox'd for two hours. Dark fruit on the nose. The palate was dark berries, cherry, currant, tobacco and coffee leading to a moderately long finish.

A pleasant surprise. Held up nicely after many years. Savory notes and muted fruit, stretched and sprawling, all of it on a bed of delightful but not overpowering acidity.

Drank from cellar with Wally. Light spice and currant nose. Deep dark purple. Soft even presentation middle of oak and touch of blackberry chalk chocolate coffee. Very complex beautiful 20 year old wine. 9.5/10.

Still dark color, appearance not young or old, great nose of flower perfume, racy tannins supporting a rail of fruit. Balanced toward the leaner side but, had the right amount of deep berry flavor. Long finish, it just danced from beginning to end. Been hitting the cellar hard during the pandemic and this 2007 surprised as one of the very best, favorite so far.

It's been nine years almost to the day since I last had this. The nose is gorgeous giving off dark berries and a strong forest floor component. Little bit of earth but not as dirty as when previously tasted in 2011. The palate is not as dense and is a little more subdued. Black fruit is shining through with some dark chocolate. Strong finish although tannins seem to be fading. Still has a few years at it's peak

Drank with prime rig on Xmas day. This was really nice and I think totally in its prime. Still good fruit and some nice herbal notes. Very smooth and satisfying. Well stored bottles should hold a few more years but this is drinking great now and no reason to wait. Wish I had a couple more. Was a great buy at $40

Very dark red color, very subtle 3mm margin. PNP, split bottle over 3 hours. This is in a very good place, mature, still fresh and well balanced. The nose offers pretty fruits of cassis and red cherry, baking spice, tobacco and graphite. As this opens, about an hour in, a floral perfume emerges filled with a mix of violets and a mix of bright fruits that is just enticing. Drinking better now than a couple of years ago. I think it’s at its peak right now. Still very nice fruit but also has developed a bit of that Bordeaux like damp cellar quality in a very elegant way. Probably won’t improve from here though.

I refrigerated for approx. 30 mins as we took this to an outdoor concert. Great nose, fruit forward, mid, and back...it is drinking beautifully. Delicious.

Largely consistent with previous notes. This is a very nice cab blend that is drinking well now. The pieces are all fitting together nicely and there is enough acidity to keep it fresh and food friendly. It's not mind blowing or anything, but very solid.

Another gift lost to the back of the cellar for too long. Expected it to be past drinkable, but was pleasantly surprised to find it still standing. Mostly oak on the nose. No tannins or finish at this point, but mildly interesting fruit flavors in mouth. Wish I had tried it in its prime.

decanted and drank 2007 Trilogy along with 2007 Spring Valley Frederick. No sediment on either. 2 hours in- Frederick still showing some youth with tannin's, acidity and fruit still prominent. This one has years left. Trilogy much more mature with very soft tannin's, virtually no acidity and some nice oak showing (maybe a bit too much oak for some). Almost as good as last bottle 2 plus years ago. Medium bodied, very elegant, the fruit has only faded slightly. It is still a wine that delivers layers of fruit, raspberry, cherry, cassis, hints of strawberry too. There is enough acidity to keep the wine fresh through the mid-pallette with the red fruit lingering nice and long on the silky finish. Coravin taste. Wow, this is drinking beautifully. Nice cab fruit but balanced beautifully with herbal notes and adequate acidity. Really outstanding and drinking well. Elegant. This was a great buy at $40. Wish I had more than 3. Liked this slightly better than the '09 Beringer Knights reserve and the '08 ACVV Estate, substantially better than the '08 Hall, and way better than the '08 Lewis cab.

Blind tasting. Spicy and lithe on the palate, great balance. Don't think it has a long life left but why wait. My #1 in this flight by a long shot.

My bottle, served blind. Nicely layered and somewhat elegant in most aspects. Came across as a wine of some pedigree but for me maybe just a bit predictable. But then, I've had a lot of Flora Springs wines and I suppose the style is identifiable to me.

Open this next to 1992 caymus special selected.. Cork perfect..decanted 2h.. Drank within 6h. It held its own. When side by side. But then caymus show to self more. But very good n taste wine.

Bingo. It's drinking time. It's all come together. Dark purple with notes of brick. Lots of mature cassis, glove leather and darker berry fruit. Compact mid pallet with a silky texture and age-appropriate tannin. Great finish as well. This bottle has gotten better with time and can show what it had been hiding all along.

This is fantastic. Blk cherry liqueur and red currant soar on the nose. Palate is super concentrated and the red fruit is enhanced with notes of licorice and menthol. The finish lingers nicely... wow, this is a great wine which will provide pleasure for many years.

Like my last bottle, this one shows a touch of funk that detracts a little from an otherwise very tasty wine. The oak, which was previously a bit too prominent, is now well integratred.

Awesome. Slightly musty, cavernous, black licorice, blueberry opening nose. Honeysuckle later, followed by the marmalade jammy jam. Full, yet silken mouthfeel. Yet later, I'm wading thru a lush cranberry bog. Incredible sour patch kids lead into rock candy flashback about 3 hours after opening, culminating in cotton candy. Strawberry syrup comes oozing out in the aftermath of the fruit bomb. Definitely not past its prime.

Deep, rich color. Swirl coats the glass, producing thick legs. Blueberry, black liquerice and some must on the nose. Thick mouthfeel with lush berries, which evolved into honeysuckle and mandarin marmalade. Long finish with sugared cranberry in the aftermath. Worth the wait.

consistent with notes of 2/1/2011...no worse or better than 4 years ago...clearly this is as good as this gets.

A ripe blackberry, licorice, cedar and tobacco driven nose leads way to a black cherry fruited palate along with cedar and herbs that tastes more Right bank like than most anything from Napa.

Delicious. Fruity nose of red friuts, notes of pencil lead, forest floor, and cedar oak. The wine gushes with tiers of red fruit flavors of wild berry, raspberry, and cassis, the mid-pallette shows some oak notes along with some light earthy notes, then the finish hits with more fruit, bing cherry, on a silky creamy frame with fully integrated tannins. Great stuff, delicious now, I don't see fading fruit yet, could go through 2016. I will drink my other bottle …

The flagship wine from Flora Springs is truly an often overlooked gem. Rich blueberry cassis and a slight herbal note make this a very enjoyable and serious red. Ripe and supple however, my 2006 started to show some signs of aging so I would advise consuming these within the next 2 years

- Violet color and aromas of violet, blackberry and black currant. It's balanced and has flavours of blackberry and black currant with a light/medium body. Smooth texture with a medium finish - This drank very well. With aromas of black fruit and similiar fruit upon tasting. The wine had little tannins remaining and probably slightly past its peak. It was very smooth and went very quickly.

I have been drinking these for the past few years and think they are at or slightly past their peak. Very light tannins bordering on being too thin but drank very easy. Very nice soft fruits with a great nose.
