Popped and poured. First impression was terrible. I thought it was corked due to a very strong funk. Set it down for a half hour and came back to a totally different wine. Dark berries, a little spice. Fairly balanced with an moderate finish. Didn't quite meet my expectations for the price tag, but was pleasant enough.

Good but not as jammy as other vintages. Possibly still going through bottle shock (just received it).

I really enjoyed both the nose and flavors that were displayed in this smoth easy drinking syrah. The nose gave me an immedate and stong aroma of bacon fat with a touch of smoke. This wine had good texture that displayed flavors of dark fruit, some leather and fine finsh.

Pretty nice bottle. Nothing too outstanding, but holds good black fruits, spice, and toast with a hint of herbs. Definitely approachable with mild tannins and great acidity. Enjoyed a bit better with food.

Big berry nose. Much better then the Monteray. Not as overripe, with a weightier mouthfeel. Slightly glycerol. This is a solid bottle, but there are a lot of really nice syrahs at the same price point. 86-87

Was expecting big things from this Syrah and it slightly disappointed. Medium bodied. Juicy fruit that's slightly concentrated. Berries and subdued spice. Not a lot of personality. Modest finish and moderately dry. Not much of a tannic structure. An enjoyable, yummy bottle of wine that we enjoyed with out pork roast and roasted tomatoes. 15% alco, plastic (D 6; F 6; Pine)

Blackberry and menthol on nose. Black and red fruit on palate with pepperand menthol mid to finish. Very soft tannins. Interested to see how this changes with cellar time, we think it has several more years to reach peak. Was good with Polyface roast chicken and local carrots.
