"found" this bottle in my cellar following a long overdue reorganization; it has stood the test of time, although it tasted less like a Sauvignon Blanc and more like a Chenin Blanc. Offered a glass to the sommelier at dinner, who shared it blind with his 2 colleagues, neither guessed SB.

The first wine before our blind red tasting. Medium to deep yellow. Rich stone fruit on the nose with some oak, light honey, touch of grass and very clean. Medium acidity (6/10) and well rounded. Medium bodied with notes of honeysuckle, golden apples and tropical notes like guava. Some minerality with a medium plus finish. Drink till 2018.

Light golden color with watery rim. On the nose, there are light herbal notes, a whiff of chlorine, minerals, pear, and sweetness like a sugar cookie. The palate is a subdued mix of melon, pear, mineral, and floral notes. This medium-bodied win displays some alcoholic warmth initially. Overall, this comes across as a lighter version of a rousanne blend, heavy mineral influence with a touch of pear. Very interesting.

An SB that wowed everyone. Great acidity, fruit. Wish I had more.

Light straw color. Nose reminiscent of Riesling, some cantaloupe. Creamy on the palate, low perceived acid or just hidden by the full body. Silky though slightly bitter on the finish as it warms. The 'cream soda' of wines?

Full throttle American syle, on the sweeter side but man it's good.

This is fast becoming one of my favorite wines. Always snappy and fresh with a full but not rich palate. Matched with a spicy pork stew and held its own.

Very fruity nose—lots of tropical fruits and some lemon. Initial taste verifies that—something like pineapple and kiwi fruit, but there is a lemony acid kick towards the back of the palate. Also, towards the back of the palate, there is a definite effervescent sensation. Good wine.

Ready to go on pop-n-pour, this shows good balance and cut, with a more restrained acidity compared to earlier versions. I love the freshness of the fruit here. Made for a nice pairing with lump crab cakes.

750ml; PnP; I'm not usually a big Sauv blanc fan but I liked this wine - it was not a thin, hugely grassy wine but had a lot of texture and weight, with slight grassyness. Good fruit on the front, and the body helps this linger a bit longer than most. Good QPR for a better than average poolside wine. Also good with cheese on baquette.

Watery yellow color. Reluctant nose of tropical fruit and flowers. The palate begins with peach and citrus fruit but explodes to provide kiwi and passion fruit on the finish. There is solid acidity in this light-bodied wine. Overall, this was a uniquely individualistic wine whose flavors expanded like a snowball rolling down a hill.

Chilled approximately 30 minutes, then served. Shows ripe notes of tropical fruit and citrus, along with strong wood elements. Tasted like it spent some time in oak. Richer than expected, but still packing good acidity to balance out the wine. I think this will age nicely but will remain a rather more full-bodied sauvignon blanc. No alcoholic heat was detectable, which was a welcome surprise compared to most Napa sauv blancs I taste.

Very big for a SB, even by domestic standards. Nice fruit but the overpowering alcohol was a big negative for me. Full disclosure... I'm pretty intolerant of wines that seem hot.

Gotta say this was my least enjoyable Quivet bottling I've had. That being said, a fantastic nose with floral notes, citrus, pear all present, but on the palate it just didn't stack up to the expectation built up by the nose. Didn't find it overly hot as some others have, but still possibly not my style of SB. An unpleasant bitterness present too. Will give my other bottle some time.

Flavor profile is exactly what you'd expect for New World SB, nothing amazing or thought provoking but enjoyable. One problem is the heat is definitely over the top and annoying on the tail end. Medium acidity Medium plus body. Overall good, but I would wait a couple years in hopes the Alcohol will find another home.

2nd bottle down. For whatever reason, this bottle was much more grassy than last. Not as full. Very enjoyable. Think I could have chilled it more. Probably served at 60-65F.

Really enjoyed this. Citrusy, crisp, blossoms, long finish, no grassy notes, no herbaceousness. Fuller mouth than I expected. 91-92.
