Farbe: tiefes Rubinrot Nase: dunkle Früchte, Kirsche, Pflaume, dazu auch Vanille und Gewürze Gaumen: mittlerer Körper, feine, geschliffene Tannine, dunkle rote Früchte, Gewürze, mittlerer Abgang Gesamt: trinkt sich schon sehr easy was für den Wein spricht, fehlt aber vllt etwas Komplexität

Deep, dense ruby-red color. On the nose: dark cherries, plum, blackcurrant, dried herbs, and a well-integrated oak influence of vanilla and spice. On the palate, concentrated and energetic with ripe dark fruit, fresh acidity, and firm, fine tannins. A long, structured finish with spice, tobacco, and a subtle graphite/mineral note. Compared with Tignanello 2012. Great tasting!

I love Tignanello, but this one was not quite hitting the marks I usually associate with this wine. It was slightly diluted and not completely balanced on the palate. The nose is by far the best thing about this vintage, maybe it was a weird bottle. Won’t buy 2022 again so will only try if someone else is opening.

We are not “Tig” fans but one cannot omit the crowd pleasing power of this wine. Puts a smile on people’s faces, recognisable and just works in many other dimensions than the wine it self which especially at this young age is quite on the oak and one dimensional. Still a 92 which is more we would have guessed.

Beautifully open-knit and full body, with a seamless mouthfeel and a sailing finish. Velvety tannins. Black cherries, violets, anise and leather. Wonderful balance and stays very interesting, with lift and acidity. A cousin of the ‘18. Drink 2029 -.

Opened in Florence. P&P and enjoyed. No extensive notes because this was total infanticide and apart from a wall of dark fruit there's not much going on here. Revisit in at least 7+ years I'd say, then it should start to show its character.

Blueberry, blackberry, oak and vanilla. Medium bodied with tannins that are surprisingly resolved for such a young wine. Hasn’t fully opened up yet, would recommend waiting another 10 years (solely for taste development not tannins and acids). Enjoyed 2021 more but still a great wine. Just not sure it’s worth the price at this stage as with most Tig’s. But no doubt that it should improve with time.
